Abstract:

Jesus' self-identification as the door of the sheep is an exclusive claim to be the sole mediator of the knowledge of God and salvation. No one else can save. He conceives messianic pretenders and blind spiritual guides as thieves and robbers. One must therefore seek salvation through the only legitimate means—the Lord Jesus Christ.
