In defiance of the dream once given to him by God, Nebuchadnezzar sets up a golden statue and demands worship on pain of death by fire for any who resist. Three do--Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego--and when asked what God will save them, they answer with the same faith in the one true God exhibited by Daniel in chapters prior. What follows is among the most memorable miracles in all scripture, with clear lessons for the Christian life today.
